Candle Lighting Ritual For Embu,Kianjokoma Brothers
There will be a candle lighting ritual that will be held today from 5pm to 8pm for the two slain brothers from Embu County. Benson Njiru(22) and Emmanuel Mutura(19) who were found dead after being arrested by police. The deaths of the two who were arrested for allegedly disobeying the curfew led to days of riots in Kianjokoma, Embu County.
Denis Itumbi asked Kenyans to get their candles and light it in honor of these Kenyans youths, who died in a mysterious way.
“Wherever you are tomorrow kindly carry your candle and light them in honour of these two brothers who died in a mysterious way.” Itumbi Shared.
The bodies were found at the Embu level 5 Mortuary. The autopsy report shows that the two were slain and were killed using blunt objects as they succumbed to injuries in the head and broken ribs.
The Cabinet Secretary of Interior Security has assured that justice will be served accordingly to the two
young men who were killed. The CS met with the family of Benson Njiru, 22, and Emmanuel Mutura, 19 and assured them that the investigations will be completed on time and the perpetrators, if found guilty, will face the full arm of the law.
The interment ceremony is scheduled to happen this Friday the 13th August 2021.
