Cabinet Secretary Pushes for Justice for the two Slain Brothers.
The Cabinet Secretary of Interior Ministry and Coordination of National Government has assured that justice will be served accordingly to the two young men who were killed. The CS met with the family of Benson Njiru, 22, and Emmanuel Mutura, 19 and assured them that the investigations will be completed on time and the perpetrators, if found guilty, will face the full arm of the law.
The Cabinet Secretary yesterday met the father of the two brothers John Ndwiga, and assured the family that police officers found linked to the deaths will face full force of the law.
Speaking at the home, the CS said that they have gone an extra mile to hire agencies that will look into
the matter, “Two investigative agencies including Internal Affairs Unit and Independent Policing
Oversight Authority are on it, and I promised the father that we will do everything we can to get to
justice ” the CS said. The CS was in the company of the Attorney General Kihara Kariuki and the
Inspector General of Police, Hillary Mutyambai.
The bodies were found at the Embu level 5 Mortuary. The two brothers were allegedly killed due to disobeying curfew orders. The autopsy report shows that the two were slain and were killed using blunt objects as they succumbed to injuries in their head and ribs.
The burial is scheduled to happen this Friday the 13 th August 2021.
