Two people were on Thursday morning killed and six others injured following a lightning strike in Mtsamviani area in Matuga, Kwale County.
The six who sustained minor injuries have since been transferred to a hospital in Mkongani for treatment.
Authorities have asked residents toavoid taking cover under trees.
