MKU student dies after jumping from 7th floor of Chancellor’s Tower

A student at Mount Kenya University (MKU)  Thika died on Monday after jumping from the seventh floor of a building at the institution’ in a suspected suicide case.

Thika Deputy OCPD Daniel Kitavi said the student died while receiving treatment at the Thika Level 5 Hospital where he had been rushed.

It was not immediately clear what led the student to commit suicide and he had not left a suicide note behind.

The body of the deceased was moved to the General Kago Funeral home as investigations into the incident continue.
