Police in Kirinyaga County have arrested four men who were nabbed with elephant tusks worth over Ksh.9 million.
The four were arrested at Gathuthuma village near Mt. Kenya forest in Kirinyaga Central constituency.
Kirinyaga County Staffing Officer Gideon Mugambi said the suspects were trailed by Kenya Wildlife Service (KWS) rangers who eventually arrested them.
Mr. Mugambi said the suspects are being held at Kerugoya Police Station and will be arraigned in court.
