Kirinyaga Governor Ann Waiguru and the County Assembly of Kirinyaga members have ended a their long standoff vowing to work together henceforth.
Speaking in Sagana, Governor Waiguru said they had reached an agreement after holding talks.
“We talked, and we have agreed to unite all stakeholders including politicians, farmers and the government so that we can push Kirinyaga forward,” She said.
“We have resolved to the end the politicking so that we can focus on delivering our mandate to the people, we cannot eat politics, the citizens expect service delivery from us not fights,”
Governor Waiguru said a committee comprising the Majority Leader,5 elected representatives of each sub-county and technical staff from the executive will meet weekly to monitor the progress and report to the Assembly.
