Makueni County has topped the list of the happiest counties in Kenya in a poll released by Infotrak.
According to the poll, Makueni leads in the county happiness index at 64.4 per cent followed by West Pokot with 62.4 percent, Machakos 62.1 percent , Bomet at 61.8 per cent and Kwale County completes the top five list of the happiest counties at 61.3 per cent.
In terms of regions, the Eastern part of Kenya leads the pack, followed by Rift Valley, North Eastern, Central, Western, Nyanza, Coast and Nairobi.
The survey comes just a few months after the United Nations ranked Kenya among the happiest countries in Africa.
In March Kenya was ranked by the UN as the happiest country in East and Central Africa in the World Happiness Report of 2020.
