ODM set to kick off impeachment motion on Migori Governor

The Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) is planning to initiate an impeachment motion against Migori Governor Okoth Obado.

A statement from the party cited the recent corruption charges against Obado and the decision by the court to bar him from accessing his office as reasons for impeaching him.

Reports indicate that 37 out of 41 MCAs voted to impeach governor Obado over the graft allegations.

This comes days after Obado and his four children were charged with Ksh.73million fraud offenses.

The accused denied the charges and were freed on Ksh.18.25million cash bail which they have since paid to the court.
