Two arrested in Nakuru for having GSU uniforms

Detectives from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) department in Nakuru arrested two men who were in possession of the General Service Unit (GSU).

The suspects Stephen Chege, 22 and Samuel Njogu 23, were arrested on Tuesday night at Heshima Estate, Bahati Sub County.

Bahati Sub County Deputy Police Commander Francis Mwangi said i said the two were arrested by police at a business premise, within the estate, and on interrogation, they appeared suspicious as if planning to commit an offence.

Police raided their rental house at the estate, where they recovered two pair of GSU trousers and jackets. They were arrested and locked at Bahati police station.“We are interrogating the suspects to know how they acquired the uniforms and what they have been using them for,” he said.

“Investigations reveal the suspects have been taking advantage of the uniforms to commit criminal activities and terrorise members of the public,” said Mr Mwangi.The suspects will be arraigned to court today where they will be charged with being in possession of government property and impersonation.
