Nairobi Woman Representative Esther Passaris on Sunday faced criticism from twitter users after she announced that she had undergone a successful spinal surgery at an Indian hospital.
I flew to Ahmedabad, India on 31st December, 2019 and successfully had Spinal Surgery the following day at CIMS Hospital. I thank God for the Gift of Life, my family for their unconditional love and everyone who whispered a word of prayer as I went in. #OfficiallyMadeOfTitanium pic.twitter.com/9f4ssAkMGp

Some Kenyans on Twitter (KOT) felt that, Passaris who is an elected Kenyan leader and sits in the Parliamentary Health Committee, she should pursue the improvement of facilities in local hospitals.
You should stop posting this because, how do you think people from slums feel yet they can't afford kenyatta National Hospital KNH.?

Passaris went ahead to confirm she had consulted over 10 doctors in the country.
I consulted over 10 medics in Kenya. Our problem is our inability to work as an 'A Team' for the benefit of not just patients but the country as a whole. We think pulling each other down is the solution. Carry your mantle & do your part. Kenya is ours to propel.#TogetherWeCan https://t.co/pCDXw1OQWF

The CEO Kenya Film and Classification Board Ezekiel Mutua posted to criticize those who are attacking the Nairobi Woman representative.
Thank you my brother. Even India struggles with #UniversalHealthcare Medical facilities are devolved but this doesn't mean all patients get the best care. They don't. What thrives is a populace driving growth and shared prosperity rather than sitting and hating. #TogetherWeCan https://t.co/KeEVqEr6MC

King Kaka also criticized her asking her to serve the people and stop being selfish.
@EstherPassaris shame shame Shame. The talk should be on how we have made our health reliable to the point you are getting your surgery at KNH. Wewe Uko Hapo unatuambia juu ya 50million. Stop being selfish for once , just for once and serve the people who put you there. Shame
