Keroche Breweries Chief Executive Officer Tabitha Karanja on Thursday penned a glowing tribute to her daughter Tecra Muigai, marking 100 days since her death on May 2 this year.

Through a series of tweets, Mrs Karanja said Tecra’s death left her heartbroken.

“Her death left me broken-hearted without an idea of how to move forward. People say to give it time. But the truth is that time changes nothing. What has changed is my eyes have been opened to more truths,” she tweeted.

Tecra succumbed to injuries she sustained on the left side of her head after she fell on April 27 while in the company of her boyfriend, Omar Lali. The two were at Shela Village in Lamu County when the incident happened.

Mrs Karanja celebrated the 29 years she had spent with her daughter.

She also thanked everyone who stood by her when her daughter died.

“I’ve heard from friends in 20 countries whose lives Tecra touched & inspired. Her life proves what differentiates people is – opportunity. Thank you all for prayers that helped ease our pain. For those in a similar place, I pray for grace to live & grieve at the same time,” she said.
