Happy Diwali! Hindus across the world mark the festival of light
It is pomp and splendor in most Hindu communities as they observe Diwali, one of the biggest festivals celebrated by Hindus between mid-October and November across the globe.
Diwali, also known as Deepavali, coincides with November 4 and is the festival of light that signifies peace and joy and the victory of good over evil.
As part of the celebration, participants clean their homes and decorate the interior of their houses with lamps, candles, and flowers.
The festival also provides a perfect time to offer prayers to the goddess of wealth for health and prosperity.
Kenyans joined the world in marking the festival.
