Green Pancakes

Ingredients

  • 1 cup Fresh spinach
  • 1 cup Butter milk
  • 1 Large egg
  • 1 cup White wheat flour
  • 1 tsp Baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp Baking soda
  • 1 tbsp Sugar
  • Cooking oil
  • 1/2 tsp Salt to taste

Method

Add buttermilk,egg,1 tsp of oil and spinach to a blender.Process until the mixture is smooth and green in colour.
In a separate bowl add flour,sugar,salt,baking soda,baking powder,and sugar.Whisk until well combined.
Add the dry mixture in the bowl with the dry ingredients and mix well until properly combined.
Heat up an iron pan or skillet and spread oil to cover the entire surface.
When the pan is hot,using a serving spoon,scoop the batter onto the pan.
Cook the pancake on both sides until golden brown and place it on a large plate.Repeat the process until there is no pancake batter left.
Place the pancake on a serving plate and garnish with your desired topping like maple syrup,mint,fruits,honey or cereals
