Meatballs Recipe

INGREDIENTS

MEATBALLS: – ½ kg lean minced meat
– 1 tsp salt ( or as preferred )
– 1 tsp Black Pepper – ¼ tsp Cayenne Pepper
– 2 tsps Spanish Paprika
– ½ tsp Ginger Powder
– 2 cloves Garlic, minced
– 2 bunches Dhania, finely chopped
– ½ tsp dried Thyme
– 2 eggs
– 4 tbsps bread crumbs
– 1 tsp Bidco Olive Oil

To brown the meatballs: – 2 tsps Olive Oil
– ½ tbsp Butter

Coconut Sauce: – 1 Red Onion chopped
– 2 cloves Garlic, minced
– 200ml Coconut Cream
– 1 tbsp Tomato Paste
– 2 tbsps Heinz Ketchup
– 2 tsps Bidco Olive Oil
– 1 tsp Dark Soy Sauce
– 1 tsp Salt ( or as preferred )
– 2 Cups water

METHOD
1. In a bowl, mix together all the ingredients for the meatballs. Knead well and then using the palm of your hands make about 12 rounded balls. Heat up the Olive Oil and Butter in a saucepan and brown the meatballs on both sides. Remove from the fire and cover with foil.

2. Heat up the Olive Oil and put the garlic, let it brown a bit then add the onions and soy sauce. Add the coconut cream, Tomato paste and ketchup and mix well. Add the water and the meatballs. Let it simmer till the meatballs are ready and let the sauce thicken ( you can keep adding water and boiling down till you have a consistency you love)
Serve with Pasta or Rice
