Magoha ” Let Students Pursue Courses They are Passionate About”
The Ministry of education today has released the University placement results for the students who sat for the KCSE Examinations in the year 2020.
This was conducted in a short ceremony where the Cabinet Secretary, Prof George Magoha presided. There had been delays that had been caused by the KUCCPS that had tampered with the school reopening dates and reporting of first-year students at the University.
Speaking at the event, the Cabinet secretary emphasized the need for hard work and integrity amongst students and asked them to pursue courses they are passionate about.
” Students need to be passionate about what they need and the courses they wish to pursue. They should not be forced to pursue courses they are not interested in’’
He also talked about the importance of TVET’s and emphasized that students can gain more technical skills which make them work-ready and have experience in the job market.
The dates for school reopening that had taken a while before they were released, will be adjusted and the University almanacs will run ahead for the September intake.
