Nairobi Court frees six officers linked to murder of Kianjokoma brothers
Six police officers charged with the murder of two Kianjokoma brothers have been released on Sh300,000 cash bail each. The officers were released Thursday by a Nairobi court and ordered not to interfere with witnesses.
The killer suspects are also prohibited from visiting the crime scene in Embu without permission from the court.
Benson Njiru Ndwiga and Emmanuel Mutura Ndwiga went missing on August 1 and were found dead on August 3.
The siblings had been arrested for allegedly flouting the 10pm-4am curfew outside their family shop in Kianjokoma shopping center.
In September, the Director of Public Prosecution opposed the release of the officers on bail claiming that they are a threat to investigation.
