Atheists accuse DP Ruto of ‘religious arrogance’

Atheists have come out to accuse Deputy President William Ruto of “religious arrogance” over his recent statement on Kenya being a God- fearing nation.

In a  statement, Atheists in Kenya criticized Dr. Ruto saying his sentiments have no place in Kenya’s democracy.

DP during his visit to the Anglican Church of Kenya in Khwisero on Sunday.

He said: “I want to say for the avoidance of doubt that Kenya is a country of prayer and not reggae and magicians. We will stop this reggae.”

The DP was responding to ODM leader Raila Odinga’s slogan ‘Nobody can stop reggae’ that has become popular during rallies for the Building Bridges Initiative (BBI).
