The Central Bank of Uganda has come to rescue of a man whose bundle of notes was burnt. The bank has asked the man to take the money to nearest bank for exchange with different ones that he can use.
The man had taken to Twitter where he posted a photo of the money but he did not disclose how it got burnt.
In a rejoinder, Bank of Uganda told him the money could be changed but there were some conditions to be met.

“@Ugaman01, these can exchanged for new notes, please take them to any of our currency branches btn 9 am – noon, any Monday -Friday. Our branches are in Kampala, Gulu, Mbarara, Fort Portal, Jinja, Mbale, Arua, Kabale and Masaka. ”
The conditions for replacement given were:
- They must have at least one complete signature of either the governor or the bank secretary.
- They should have at least one full denomination figure printed and also bear at least one complete serial number.
- It should be at least two thirds of its original size
