The suspects were however later released on bond even as investigations continue with police yet to establish whether they gave out the alleged vaccine for free or charged people for it.
The World Health Organization (WHO) on Tuesday announced that 59 cases had been confirmed in Egypt, which remains worst-hit by the virus on the continent.
