The Board of Kenya Airways (KQ) has confirmed Allan Kilavuka as its new Chief Executive Officer effective April 1, 2020.
“It is particularly gratifying to me that the Board agreed to support the appointment of Allan to the full role of substantive CEO. During his short-time as acting CEO of KQ, Allan has thrown all his energy into this role, whilst maintaining his position as CEO of Jambojet,” KQ Chairman Michael Joseph said in a statement released on Thursday.
Kilavuka takes over from Sebastian Mikosz who chose not to go through with his original three-year term to June 2020 to instead leave the hot seat earlier

He is expected to remain on the Board of Jambojet, initially as CEO until March 31.
