A rogue motorist who ran over a traffic police killing him on the spot, at the Eastern by pass has been arrested.

Edward Njoroge, a matatu driver with the Aberdare line sacco, was  carrying unidentified plastics when he was flagged down by Officer Peter Lukote.

According to Lang’ata OCPD Gregory Mutiso, the incident occurred on Tuesday at around 4pm.

The traffic police is said to have signalled the driver to stop and asked him for his  driver’s license as the officer held on to the door handle of the matatu.

The suspect allegedly refused to hand over his DL and he then began to drive off and he ran over the police officer who had accidentally slipped and fallen on the road.
