Residents of Embakasi estate in Nairobi will still have to avoid using tap water as the source of contamination is yet to be established.
On Friday, an official from the Kenya Pipeline Company informed that“The Nairobi City Water & Sewerage Company sent officials to the site to test the water and we are still waiting for lab results,” KPC Corporate and Communications officer Kasujaa Onyonyi said.
KPC had released a statement two days warning Embakasi residents to stop using tap water.
This after several people with symptoms such as diarrhea, sought treatment in various hospitals.
An internal memo by the Kenya Pipeline Company (KPC) seen by The Standard reveals residents are yet to know the cause of the contamination.
