A section of Jubilee Mps who were attending a church service at PCEA Emmanuel in Makina yesterday want the IEBC to disqualify ODM Candidate Imran Okoth from the by elections which are scheduled for November 7.

This follows due to the attacks that Jubilee party candidate McDonald Mariga received as he campaigned on Saturday.

Kimani Ichung’wa and Nixon KorirMPs of Kikuyu and Langata constituency respectively, accused Dagoretti North MP Simba Arati of inciting youths to throw stones at Mariga’s convoy.

“Let all candidates and political parties embrace peace and give Kibra people a chance to decide who they want,” said Mr Ichung’wa.

On the other hand,Mr.Korir claimed that the youths who had attacked Mariga had followed them to church.

“It is shameful the youths who attacked Mr Mariga’s convoy yesterday (Saturday) have followed us here and destroyed window panes,” said Mr Korir.

He continued to say that he will personally write to the IEBC to disqualify the ODM candidate.

Mariga called out on political leaders to stop using youths to mete out violence on their opponents.

“The youths should not be used to unleash violence on opponents, violence never pays, I have forgiven those who attacked us,” said Mr Mariga.
