The Portuguese Football Federation (FPF) has announced that Juventus Forward Cristiano Ronaldo has tested positive for coronavirus.
Agencies reported that Ronaldo is asymptomatic and has been sent home from international duty to self-isolate.
Ronaldo will now miss his country’s next Nations League fixture against Sweden on Wednesday, as well as Juventus’ upcoming matches which include a Serie A clash with Crotone and a Champions League group game against Dynamo Kyiv.
The remainder of Fernando Santos’ Portugal squad have tested negative for Covid-19 and are available for selection.
