Kenyan’s teen athlete Angela Munguti has been banned for four years over violations of the Anti-Doping Rules
Athletics Integrity Unit (AIU) revealed that Angela failed an out-of-competition doping test conducted to her at the Youth Olympics held in Buenos Argentina last year.
She tested positive for a banned substance Norandrosterone.
As a result, the athlete will be ineligible to compete for four years as well as forfeit any titles, awards, medals, points and prize since then.
In a statement by the AIU ,Munguti admitted to the findings of the test.
“The athlete signed a form by which she admitted the ADR, waived her right to a hearing and accepted the disqualification of her results obtained at the Olympic Games…,” read part of the statement.
