Slain Kitengela Brothers To Be Buried On Friday or Saturday.
The single mother of the two slain brothers of Kitengela was overcome with grief for the loss of her two sons, “What have I done my Lord to deserve this. How have I wronged you Lord to deserve losing my beloved children…?” She cried.
Weakness overcame her and she kept tumbling to the ground as she was escorted to a waiting car that would take her to her home in Syokimau, Machakos county. The lady told her brother that it would not be easy for her to get back home since she would be reminded of her children.
Lucy Wanjiru was taken to a different location elsewhere to rest before going to Kenyatta University Teaching, Referral and Research Hospital mortuary, where her children’s bodies are, awaiting burial.
Macharia, the family’s spokeperson, said the burial will take place in Leshau Pondo, Mayu village, in Nyahururu on Friday or Saturday.
Meanwhile, Isinya OCPD Charles Chepkonga told the Star on Sunday that investigations are still ongoing to confirm the roots of these deaths and causative action will be taken immediately.
“We have not arrested anyone so far but our DCI officers are on the ground trying to unravel the murders,” said Chepkonga.
The two brothers were killed by a mob as they were accused of stealing livestock from the locals. They succumbed to injuries.
